Making Good Men Better

What is Freemasonry?

Freemasonry provides an opportunity for men who believe in the Fatherhood of God and the Brotherhood of All Men to come together in fellowship.   It promotes and fosters good will towards all mankind.

The lessons of Freemasonry are taught through 3 degrees (or rituals) that all Masons go through.  During these degrees, men are instructed on ways to live better lives through firm beliefs in their Supreme Being and their Holy Doctrine.  Each degree leads men on a more spiritual journey that culminates in the Master Mason degree (3rd degree).

Many books can be purchased that help to go into more depth about Freemasonry and what it involves.  Two great books include "Freemasons for Dummies" and "An Idiot's Guide to Freemasonry."  If you are considering becoming a Freemason, please read one or both of these books.  It will help to clarify for you what the Freemasons believe and do.
In addition, other great books are available.  However, please be sure to make sure that the author is a Freemason.  There are many people who publish incorrect information about the Freemasons.

If you still wish to become a Freemason, contact your local lodge or any Freemason.  They will be able to give you a petition for your local lodge.
